Guidelines for writing in the DE WOLFE PACK™ Connected World
DragonBlade Publishing, Inc. dba WolfeBane Publishing and World of de Wolfe Pack is owned
by Kathryn Le Veque.
Original de Wolfe Pack Series (in order):
- The Wolfe
- A Joyous de Wolfe Christmas
- A Wolfe Among Dragons
- Dark Destroyer
- The Lion of the North
- Walls of Babylon
This is a connected world where authors write their own stories, and create their own characters, within the World of de Wolfe Pack Connected World created by Kathryn Le Veque. The original world (and shall be referred to as “Connected World” or “CW”) is a Medieval world set from about 1066 A.D. to the reign of Henry Tudor.
Books written can be about ancestors or descendants of de Wolfe Pack characters. Authors can simply create their own characters freely so long as somewhere in the story, the names of de Wolfe, or the Original World of de Wolfe Pack, are included. As long as everything is connected to one or more original characters, creative freedom belongs to the Author.
Your novel must contain some manner of historical romance or general romance theme, utilize names and/or families from the original connected series by Kathryn Le Veque, must have a redeemable hero, and a “Happily Ever After”/”Happy For Now” (“HEA”/”HFN”).
Authors are not authorized to use Original World characters (created by Kathryn Le Veque) as main characters.
Authors are authorized to use secondary Original World characters as main characters, but may not:
- Marry off
- Otherwise change the character arc from the original intent by Kathryn Le Veque.
Authors are not authorized to change the World settings in the following ways:
- Destroy any existing castles, locations, characters, etc., mentioned in Kathryn Le Veque World of de Wolfe Pack series. All locales must remain intact.
- All original character arcs and information must remain intact.
Any explicit sex must occur between consenting adults. No graphic rape, illegal, or degrading scenes allowed. No bestiality, pedophilia, or incest will be considered.
You, as an author, can keep any characters you create and use them outside of the Connected World. However, you cannot use any characters created by any other author in the Connected World, outside of the world.
We strongly recommend that any novel you write in the world somehow connects to a series you have written so readers will crossover to read your series and, hopefully, more of your books.
Word count: Between 15,000 and 70,000 words.
What era or genre to write in: Ancient romance up to contemporary romance accepted. No erotica, BSDM, manga, or graphic novels.
